The Wireless Handset Protection Program from eSecuritel is designed to give you peace of mind. By signing up now you can save time, money and hassle should your phone be lost stolen or accidentally damaged.
How do I enroll?
You can enroll in the program at anytime. A fee based upon the handset retail value will be added to your monthly bill. If you enroll in Basic coverage (Lost, Theft, Accidental Damage coverage) and your handset retail value is $249.99 or below, your monthly fee will be $4.99. If your handset retail value is $250 or higher your monthly fee will be $6.99.
If you enroll in Complete Coverage (Lost, Theft, Accidental Damage, Malfunction/Electrical Failure after the manufacturer’s warranty coverage) and the retail value of your handset is $249.99 or below, your monthly fee will be $5.99. If your handset retail value is $250 and above, your monthly fee will be $7.99.
When am I covered?
To be eligible for coverage immediately, purchase the Program at the same time you purchase your new handset from Carolina West Wireless (Point of Sale). If you select coverage after the Point of Sale, no claims may be made under the Program for 30 days following purchase of coverage. Please note, your phone must be operational and certified by a Carolina West Wireless representative at the time of Program activation in order to enroll.
What’s covered?
You have the choice between two different programs to cover the handset (device, standard battery & wall charger) you purchased from Carolina West Wireless. Basic Coverage includes accidental damage, loss and theft. Complete Coverage includes everything in Basic Coverage plus malfunction (after the manufacturer’s warranty expires). Normal wear and tear and cosmetic damage to equipment is not covered.
What are the claim limits?
$1500.00 per Named Insured or a maximum of two equivalent replacements (whichever comes first) will be permitted in each consecutive twelve month period beginning with the date of the first loss.
What is the deductible?
Your deductible will be based on the handset retail value for which you make a claim, ranging from $50 to $150. Please consult http://carolinawest.esecuritel.com for handset specific information. The deductible must be paid before your replacement phone.
