Account Balances

What happens with my balance?

To help simplify the transition process, if you have an outstanding FLEX balance, you will receive special offers and flexible payment options through text message communications from Carolina West Wireless.

If you have a FLEX device balance, you will be hearing from us soon.

What happens with my device payments?

Will my bill still come from Carolina West Wireless?

Yes. Any remaining balance owed to Carolina West Wireless, including FLEX balances, will continue to be billed until the balance is paid in full or otherwise resolved.

Transitioning service to another carrier does not eliminate outstanding obligations owed to Carolina West Wireless. Customers remain responsible for all account balances and may be contacted regarding available payment options or special offers related to outstanding FLEX balances.

What happens with my autopay?

Your AutoPay enrollment will remain active through September 30, 2026, or until your service is moved to another carrier, whichever occurs first.

If you transition service prior to September 30, 2026, continue monitoring your account to ensure any remaining balances owed are paid.

How will this impact my Affirm or Progressive Leasing agreements?

Your Affirm or Progressive Leasing agreement is not impacted by the transition and will remain your responsibility under the terms of your existing agreement with them.

If you have questions regarding your financing or lease agreement, we recommend contacting Affirm or Progressive Leasing directly for assistance.

How will outstanding credits be handled on an account?

Promotional credits related to FLEX agreements or device promotions will be applied in advance to your account and you will receive the full promotional value associated with their offer. You will be contacted by Carolina West Wireless regarding any special offers associated with outstanding FLEX balances.

I am enrolled in Lifeline, how will the transition impact my enrollment?

Lifeline benefits will not automatically transfer to Verizon or another wireless carrier when your account closes.

If you are wishing to continue receiving Lifeline benefits, you will need to reapply or transfer your Lifeline enrollment through your new service provider.

Account Information

How long can I access my personal information?

You will continue to have access to your online account information and personal account records through either the account closure or 10/31/2026. Afterwards, online account access will no longer be available.

We encourage you to download or save any information you may wish to keep prior to access ending.

Can I get a copy of my usage?

Yes. You may log in to your online account to access available call history, usage details, billing statements, and other account information through either the account closure or 10/31/2026. After that date, online account access will no longer be available.

Will I be able to keep my cell phone number?

Yes, in most cases you will be able to keep your current phone number by transferring, or “porting,” your number to another carrier.

If your number is successfully transferred to a new carrier, your Carolina West Wireless or Bark Mobile service will automatically disconnect. If you choose to obtain a new phone number from another wireless carrier instead of transferring your existing number, you will need to contact us at 800-235-5007 to request disconnection of your service.

What happens with the bill history?

Billing history and account information will not transfer to Verizon. You will continue to have access to their Carolina West Wireless or Bark Mobile online account and billing history through October 31, 2026 or your account close, whichever comes first.

We encourage you to download or save any billing statements, payment history, or account records they may wish to keep prior to that date.

Business

What if I have a business account with Carolina West Wireless?

Business customers will need to transition their service to Verizon or another carrier by September 30, 2026. Business customers will be contacted directly with more information or can request a sales consultation by visiting verizon.com/business/contact/request-consultation.

Changing Carriers

Will my account be moved to Verizon automatically?

No, your wireless account will not automatically transfer to Verizon.

If you would like to move service to Verizon, you can speak directly with a Verizon representative at one of our local retail locations during normal business hours. Visit https://www.carolinawest.com/wireless-stores/ for locations.

Are there any special offers for switching to Verizon?

Yes! As a valued customer and to make your transition as simple and seamless as possible, Verizon is offering you an exclusive limited-time offer to transfer your service to America’s best network*.

If you switch before August 31, you will receive a $150 Mastercard gift card per line of service and no activation fees.*

This great offer can also be combined with current Verizon promotions. Customers can choose to bring their own device or consider any of the Verizon device offers. To check your device eligibility with Verizon, go to Verizon.com/bring-your-own-device.

What if I can’t get to a store to transition service?

If you are unable to go to a store to transition service, you may contact our Customer Care team by dialing 611 from your mobile device or calling 800-235-5007 for assistance with being connected to a Verizon-affiliated customer service team to help facilitate the transition over the phone.

What do I need to bring with me to complete the transition?

To complete your transition, please take care of any outstanding device balances and bring your device along with a valid state-issued photo ID or U.S. passport. To keep your current phone number, you must have the following information: Carolina West Wireless account number, telephone number(s) to transfer, billing zip code associated with the account, and your account password. Please backup your phone to iCloud or Google Drive before arrival, and have your Google, Apple, and/or Samsung account logins ready to seamlessly set up a new device, if applicable.

How long can I contact Carolina West Wireless for support?

You may continue contacting Carolina West Wireless for support through September 30, 2026 or until service has been transitioned to a new carrier, whichever occurs first.

Once service has been moved to a new carrier, you should begin contacting their new provider for account and technical support related to that service.

How long can I stay with Carolina West Wireless?

You may continue using Carolina West Wireless services through September 30, 2026. To avoid interruption of service and help ensure you are able to keep your current phone number, you are encouraged to begin reviewing available transition options as soon as possible.

Who do I contact to make a change to my existing account?

Until your service has been transitioned to a new carrier, you should continue contacting Carolina West Wireless or Bark Mobile for assistance with your existing account.

However, with the upcoming transition, we encourage you to focus primarily on completing your move to a new carrier rather than making additional changes to your current account whenever possible.

Will I be able to keep my Carolina West Wireless rate plan and discounts if I move to Verizon?

No. When moving service to Verizon or another carrier, you will be required to select plans and features offered by your new service provider. Existing rate plans, pricing, and discounts will not transfer.

Verizon will be offering exclusive promotions for our customers during the transition period and has a variety of competitive wireless plans and features available to help meet customers’ individual needs.

Will Verizon or other carriers honor my upcoming phone renewal?

Once your lines of service are transitioned to Verizon or a different carrier, you will begin service with Verizon or another carrier as a new customer. Existing renewal eligibility and upgrade offers will not transfer to the new carrier.

You should work directly with Verizon or their new carrier to review available upgrade offers, promotions, and device financing options.

Device Support

Will my current device work with Verizon?

In most cases, you will be able to continue using your current smartphone device when transitioning to Verizon. You can check device compatibility and eligibility by visiting Verizon Bring Your Own Device Checker.

If there is an outstanding financing or FLEX balance on the device with Carolina West Wireless, the balance must be satisfied before the device can be unlocked for use with another carrier. Carolina West Wireless will contact you to make arrangements on your FLEX balance.

Can I trade in my device?

If your device is paid in full and eligible to be unlocked, you may be able to take advantage of trade-in offers through Verizon or another wireless carrier. Trade-in values and promotional offers will be determined by the new carrier.

If you have a FLEX balance with CWW, we’ll be in contact with you about your options. If you are needing assistance with device unlocking after satisfying any applicable FLEX balances should contact Carolina West Wireless Customer Care by dialing 611 from their mobile device or calling 800-235-5007.

What does “unlocked” mean for devices?

An unlocked device is a device that can be used on another wireless carrier’s network.

Devices with outstanding FLEX balances are locked to Carolina West Wireless and cannot be unlocked until the associated FLEX balance has been paid in full.

Customers should visit our website to review device balance information and determine whether a FLEX balance remains on their device before contacting Customer Care. Carolina West Wireless will contact customers regarding outstanding device balances and available payment options.

How will this impact my Apple Watch?

We do not anticipate issues with you transitioning compatible Apple Watch devices to Verizon. You will work directly with Verizon to review available Apple Watch plans and connectivity options during the transition process.

As with smartphones, any applicable device financing or FLEX balances with Carolina West Wireless would need to be satisfied before an eligible device can be unlocked for use with another carrier.

Will I be able to keep my voicemail messages?

You will lose access to their Carolina West Wireless or Bark Mobile voicemail messages once service is transferred to another carrier.

Depending on your device and voicemail setup, you may have options to save or download voicemail messages to your mobile device before completing the transition. We encourage you to review and save any important voicemail messages prior to moving service to another carrier.

Will I be able to keep my personal content on my device?

Yes. Your photos, contacts, and other personal content stored on your device are not impacted by the transition. However, you should take steps to back up important information such as photos, contacts, and other personal data to help ensure it is protected during the transition process.

Service or Product

What happens to my Bark Parental Control?

You may continue your Bark Parental Control subscription directly through Bark following the transition. For account support or subscription assistance, customers should contact Bark directly or visit the Bark website (https://www.bark.us/).

Verizon also offers parental control and family safety features that customers may review as part of their transition options.

What happens to my Clearstream accounts and lines?

Clearstream services will not be part of this transition to Verizon. Carolina West Wireless will be in touch with you about your options.

How will this impact my Xplora Kids Watch?

Xplora Kids Watches are not currently compatible with the Verizon network. You should speak directly with Verizon regarding alternative device and connectivity options that may best meet their needs following the transition.

How will this impact my connected camera? (Arlo and/or Spartan)

Select connected devices are included in this transition. When you visit one of our local stores, you can discuss service options that best meet your needs and are within Verizon’s service offering with a Verizon representative.

How will this impact my Home and Office voice products? (Home Connect)

If you are using Home Connect or wireless home and office voice products, you will need to transition to a new service solution following the transition. Verizon offers wireless home phone solutions that allow customers to connect an existing landline phone to the Verizon 4G LTE or 5G network.

You can work directly with Verizon representatives at transition events or through Verizon customer support to review available options that best meet their home or office voice needs.

When does my device protection end on my current devices?

If you are currently enrolled in and paying for device protection, your coverage will remain active as long as the associated wireless service remains active with Carolina West Wireless. Once that service is disconnected or transferred to another carrier, the device protection coverage will also end. You will need to contact your new carrier to review available device protection options.

What happens to my MyBundle plans?

If you currently qualify for MyBundle plan discounts, you will continue to receive those discounts while they remain an active customer.

Once your service is transitioned to a new carrier or ends on September 30, 2026, whichever occurs first, your MyBundle discounts and associated offerings will also end. You will need to work directly with your streaming providers to manage your subscriptions and payment methods. Verizon also offers discounted and bundled streaming services through select plans.

What network experience should I expect during this transition?

You can continue to expect reliable service and support from knowledgeable teams throughout the transition process.  

What happens with my MiFi device or service?

Select connected devices are included in this transition. When you visit one of our local stores, you can discuss service options that best meet your needs and are within Verizon’s service offering with a Verizon representative.

What’s happening?

Carolina West Wireless is transitioning our wireless network to Verizon, and we will discontinue our wireless services effective September 30th, 2026. You will continue to receive service through either this date or the date you close your account.

To keep your phone number and avoid service interruption, you must transfer their account to Verizon or another carrier by this date.

Who is affected by the transition?

This transition impacts all Carolina West Wireless wireless customers, including Carolina West Wireless postpaid mobile service, Bark Mobile prepaid service, and Clearstream fixed wireless internet customers.

As part of this transition, all wireless services will need to transition to Verizon or another provider, and no wireless accounts will remain active with Carolina West Wireless going forward.

When is this happening?

Beginning July 1st, you will need to take action to transition your service to Verizon or another carrier. For your convenience, Verizon will be present at all our retail store locations during normal business hours (9:00AM – 8:00PM Monday – Saturday; 10:00AM – 7:00PM Sunday).   

Carolina West Wireless will no longer process new activations or upgrades starting on June 24, 2026. You can continue to make payments at our local stores.

To avoid interruption of service and help ensure you are able to keep your current phone number, customers must transition service by September 30, 2026.

What action do I need to take now?

You will need to transition your wireless service to Verizon or another carrier between July 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026. We encourage you to consider Verizon, our trusted partner. Current wireless service, plan features, and billing will remain the same during the transition period until service is moved to another carrier.

To avoid interruption of service and help ensure you are able to keep your current phone number, you are encouraged to begin reviewing available transition options as soon as possible.

How can I stay up to date with the transition?
